Andy Rinomhota and Kelvin Abrefa have turned up with the squad to the SCL.
Could be an interesting lineup...

@RFCLatest What’s refreshing about this list is that it’s mostly made up of squad players, not the entire first team as we’ve had to be used to in recent years.
English

✍️ This summer #ReadingFC have 11 senior players with contracts expiring.
Who deserves a new deal? 👇
English

@ReadingFC Shame we can’t move the ball like we did in those days any more.
English

@mark_apsey @BBCBerkshire Will try and get to the bottom of it! I’m sure all will be revealed in 4 minutes time 🤞
English

@BBCBerkshire @isaacfarnworth just a thought on the teamsheet. #19 R.Williams is down. However, #19 is Young, R.Williams wears #21. Any idea which one it is?
English

@ReadingFC R. Williams being back is a huge positive amongst all the other crap. His ability on long throws aline offered an threat we’ve massively lacked recently.
English

@lukeroyal1871 @TalkReading Even if it does, sadly no longer benefits us.
English

More concerning than anything is the three injuries sustained tonight. Hoping Haydon Roberts, Jack Marriott and Paudie O’Connor are all okay and back ASAP. Horrible kick in the face on Paudie that looked very avoidable if the Bolton player wanted to avoid it. Nasty. #readjngfc
English

@Bolton1251 @Georgebryson34 @ReadingFC No chance of avoiding him? What did he think he was swinging his leg at?

No red for this, sickening decision #readingfc
English

@Georgebryson34 @ReadingFC No. Reading player felt contact and went to ground. Kenny had no chance of avoiding collision when player fell in front of him. Unfortunate for Reading player but he should have stayed on his feet. No intent whatsoever from Kenny.
English

@ReadingFC Offered nothing going forward after Paudie had to go off. Couldn’t get out of our own half and connect a forward pass. Ended up playing way too deep and trying to hold on, and as we often do when we try that, got caught out.

This is what happens when the hospitality industry in particular takes a financial hit. Not good.

@ReadingFC This screams “I haven’t got a clue who my best team are”
English

@RFCLatest @JonWaldron1 7 figures? Surly we don’t have that sort of cash to spend and stay within the rules on player turnover?
English

💬 Danny Cowley on #ReadingFC and Kyreece Lisbie deadline day saga:
“It was serious money – seven figures – so the fact that he still remains a Colchester United player surprises us but we’re so happy to be surprised.”

@HuangKad Is recruitment not what Brian Carey’s job is? Assuming he is still at the club because I’ve not seen his name mentioned since the purple turtle events last year, whether good or bad.
English

This is why you have a DOF/Recruitment - BC keeps continuity while managers come and go. It continues a strategy no matter who is manager. ‘Leams’ players are still good players. It gives a new manager a platform to hit the ground running if someone else comes in #readingfc
English

@ramy_abousetta What happened to Brian Carey? Doesn’t get a mention anymore, but surly this would be his department? Was in the “big 3” that was being referred to back in the summer
English

Rob Couhig, Todd Trosclair, Rick Catania and Joe Jacobson deserve massive credit for this January window.
Signed two young players on long-term deals - spending over £1M estimated.
Signed two experienced players on loan - who could be made perm.
Good business.

@Dubstep1988 @CScott____ He only recently brought a house in Berkshire (Windsor to be precise). I know many footballers get paid enough to have multiple properties, but in that sense he could have brought anywhere and continued renting a place locally. Hopefully that means something?
English

@CScott____ This is the only take that isn’t honking. “It’s a good fee for a soon to be out of contract player who we think we have no chance of getting to sign another one.”
English

Some idiotic takes about Charlie Savage that need correcting.
1. “£1.5m is a good fee” - yes it is, now half it.
2. “Rinomhota can replace him” - cool, where is Rinomhota?
3. “He’s easily replaceable” - if you want a slow, low energy midfield three, yes he is. #readingfc

@thejamieseymour @SBeaverss @RCouhig @ToddTrosclair @ReadingFC I remember the first couple of games there, scrambling up banks of earth
English

@SBeaverss @RCouhig @ToddTrosclair @ReadingFC Used to be stairs there when the stadium first opened. They collapsed so they had to get rid of them
English

Evening @RCouhig @ToddTrosclair @ReadingFC Over the summer if you could make the bits in red a stairway or anything for us to walk down so I don’t have to walk all the way round the ground to get out that’d be much appreciated #readingfc

English

@RFCLatest Elliott was ruled out for the rest of the season, so no major loss if he is de-registered.
Also, R Williams contract was renewed to 2027.
English

🧑🧑🧒🧒 #ReadingFC’s full current squad:
• 24 players over the age of 24, you’re only allowed 23.
• 5 U21s in the squad who don’t need to be registered.
Assume someone is on their way out or Ben Elliott has been de-registered while he’s injured.

English

@ramy_abousetta I would imagine that’ll be it then, his contact is up in the summer if memory serves me right.
English

🚨Reading FC midfielder Ben Elliott has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a thigh injury.

@ToddTrosclair @bluewhitewall Todd, I genuinely love and appreciate your enthusiasm and positivity to our football club.

As one wise man said:
"Patience"
He knew what our staff were cooking up.
On paper, this looks like a promising signing. A signing of intent and ambition.
If he is a Jason Roberts January signing then we will be in heaven.
