This isn't smug or anything, but I really hope that our current success demonstrates something to fans. March 1st 2025, we lost 4-3 at Barnsley. We were poor, but the flood of 'Skubala Out' messages around then was unbelievable. I even turned commenting off because I defended the team, Skubala and got all sorts of abuse. One year on, and we're on the brink of arguably the most impressive automatic League One promotion in modern times. Everyone is happy and Michael Skubala is close to adding his name to that of Taylor, Alexander, Cowley, Murphy and Anderson. No journey is linear, but sometimes, supporting your club is about seeing the small wins, and accepting the minor setbacks without a full-blown implosion. Remember that next time we lose a couple of games. #SkubalaIN

All the best players get snapped up in Dec/Jan who are out of contract & can talk to clubs. The clubs that have got players in early have got the best players in they have targeted. The longer you leave it the deeper into the bargain bucket you go. Until you are scrapping the bottom of the barrel.

No point in someone being forced to stay I wouldn’t work for someone like that. Others would see it and wonder if it’s the right place to work. He would tell everyone that too

@fytche_c @Staceywestblog Too simplistic view. He might not want to come back, might have preferred it at burton. We might have someone else to bring in we think is better. He might be struggling to settle in. Should the board be questioned? here is a shock for you, sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

If the JJ McKiernan move hasn't worked out (and there's still three years to prove one way or another), then we move on. It doesn't mean our recruitment is shit, does it? Not every player we sign and believe in will work. For every four polo shirts I buy, there's one that I don't end up wearing much. Doesn't mean I should stop buying clothes.

Re Vitals thread on Clucas. Think a few have said there’s a lot of words without much of a hit. My biggest takeaway to paraphrase is the “toughest it’s ever been” comment. Hear that a lot, is it not the toughest it’s been every season since the dawn of man?
