Never forget, CPI is a lie. The BLS uses outdated data, with objectively atrocious methodologies, to calculate a number that is easily disproven. Inflation has gone up, but it is still below 2% right now. Deflation remains the biggest risk to the US economy.

@Alice_MiaX Also noteworthy - around 45% of S&P 500 earnings are ex-US. As an "investor", I think you would agree that global stability is absolutely critical to long term capital appreciation. And I would infer, that does matter to you.

@mark_hindley WWII was after America got hit at Pearl Harbor. This isn’t a world war, it’s regional conflicts and proxy fights. And no, Iran didn’t attack the U.S. to start this. Not even close.

I might sound selfish, but I’m being real. I don’t care about Ukraine. I don’t care about Iran. I don’t care about Israel. None of these countries care about me, my country or my life. I care about where I live, my family, my money, and my business. That’s what I wake up for every day. That’s what I’m building. Yeah, I feel bad for them, but I’m not letting anything out there change what I’ve got going on here. I work for mine. I can’t change their situation. I love where I live. This is my world. I stay in my lane, focused, and making the best out of my life. I’m not mother Teresa.

@Alice_MiaX Interesting. It's noteworthy that more Americans have been killed by Iran that those killed at Pearl Harbor, granted, over a much longer time period. I just enjoy the debate with people who don't view our role as the lone superpower of the world as somewhat, interventionalist.

@mitchdmoore I think it's now, just an allocation game. All the hopes are that institutions allocate 2 - 5%. That is a tremendous amount of money - but S&P / QQQ like returns should be expected going forward.
