@PhilipThalis If you go back further we may well ask where we would be today if the Whitlam government had built the national gas pipeline they were planning.

So who, for decades, has been selling out the national interest, leaving Australia open to external threats, oblivious to any thoughts of resilience? All the while supporting USA-initiated invasions globally? ‘Major parties’ so negligent at governing & protecting our interests

American Professor Jeffrey Sachs: “Every country that condemned Iran after an Israeli-U.S. aggression hosts an American military base on its soil. They are not sovereign countries. They dare not speak. They host the U.S. military. They host the CIA. They watch their backs.”

"In front of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Hong Kong MP Dominic Lee made a shocking statement: “The West talks about human rights, but lets Israel get away with committing genocide.” “The blood of Palestinians and Iranians is on their hands.” “What moral credentials does America have? A country ruled by Epstein’s followers!” ©prinzchal

Looks like the government might finally be caving to the pressure myself, others on the crossbench & especially Australians in communities across the country have been putting on them to tax gas companies making wartime profits. Australians are already paying more on petrol & we shouldn’t be paying more on beer excise than the government gets for Petroleum Resources Rent Tax (PRRT). It’s encouraging to see Treasury modelling changes to the way gas is taxed. We should have a flat 25% tax on all gas exports & enough gas exports diverted into an east coast gas reservation & we need both now. abc.net.au/news/2026-03-2…

We commit hundreds of 9/11s across the globe every day and say with a straight face “they hate us for our freedom.” Absolute joke.

Full statement: “Palestine, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Greenland… President, at this moment, the United States and Israel are the greatest threat to the security of humanity. They are attacking the whole world. And they are doing it because they can, because no one stopped them in time. Many people have felt very proud of their words, President. Today, I ask you to make “No to war” a reality. Because if we don’t, we will end up making war, whether we want it or not. “No to war” means closing the bases of Rota and Morón, which continue to be used for Trump’s illegal wars. It means expelling the American army from our country. It means reversing this rearmament that is diverting money from our schools and our hospitals into weapons and tanks, by order of Donald Trump. “No to war” means leaving NATO, because as long as we remain part of that criminal alliance, we remain complicit in the actions of the United States and Israel, whether we like it or not. “No to war,” President, means putting people first. In the last two weeks, gasoline at a Repsol station has risen from 1.57 euros to 1.98. At Moeb stations, it has risen from 1.69 to 1.91. This is unacceptable. These figures are unacceptable. This war cannot be paid for by working people, President. Let Repsol pay for it, a company that made 1.889 billion euros in profit last year. Let those who profit from war pay for it. I insist: do not listen to the sirens of the Popular Party and Vox. We will not get out of this by lowering taxes or handing public money to large corporations. The market is intervening, exploiting fuel prices, food prices, rents, and variable-rate mortgages. This is how they are making people pay for war. And this war, whoever ordered it, must be paid for by those responsible, not by working people who have nothing to do with it.”

BREAKING Spain’s Ione Belarra: “Palestine, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Greenland. The U.S. and Israel are the greatest threat to humanity. They are attacking the whole world. Because no one is stopping them. We say no to war. Spain must leave NATO — or remain complicit in the crimes of the U.S. and Israel.”

Australian children who've harmed no-one are trapped in Syria & not permitted to come home. BUT IOF terrorists involved in genocide including the murder of children are given visas to rest & recreate in Australia. Fire yourselves directly into the Sun, @AlboMP @Tony_Burke. 🚀🌞

Really disappointing to see the fed housing minister rebuff calls to waive the ACT’s historic public housing debt. More than 3100 ppl are waiting for housing here with thousands more struggling to find anything affordable. Labor called for this debt to be waived from opposition but now refuse to do it when they can from govt. canberratimes.com.au/story/9200356/…

Israel killed Youssef, Ali, and Jaafar today in the town of Aitat, South Lebanon. They were paramedics, not combatants. Israel has killed 38 medical workers in Lebanon, in just 15 days. This is the DELIBERATE targeting of those who save lives. This is medicide.

Richard Marles must stop treating the public as if they are stupid! As this illegal war continues, Israel expands its borders, and civilians die crude verbal gymnastics are used to defend and hide Labor’s appeasement of Trump and Netanyahu. Truth, the first casualty in war!
