‼️Y’all Ain’t Gonna Believe This BS‼️ A new teacher has been hired at Apex’s Middle Creek Elementary School by Principal Sarah Stephens, whose dissertation was titled “Equity-Focused School Improvement.” The teacher? “Aria” Canon Derrick. That’s right. Aria is a “nonbinary” man. His music students will be forced to address him as “Ms.” Even worse? Parents weren’t notified. Those who don’t know will find out tonight when they’re blindsided at the teacher Meet and Greet. It gets even better: Principal Stephens is refusing to reply to concerned parents’ emails. And oh yeah, WRAL knows and hasn’t said a peep.

@dogwoodblooms It is called "South Of The Border" for a reason. It is in SOUTH Carolina, not North Carolina. We don't want it in NC.

There are certain out-of-state experiences that North Carolinians share: Spring Break in Myrtle Beach, camping in Cades Cove, summer trips to Williamsburg (which included a day at Busch Gardens), and pit stops at South of the Border. When I made a South of the Border joke a few weeks ago and so many of y’all didn’t get it, I was disappointed. It told me two things: 1. There’s more transplants in NC than I imagined. 2. South of the Border desperately needs a popularity revival. It might be over the top. It might be a total tourist trap and tackier than any place has the right to be. But it’s part of the North Carolina experience, damn it. So today, y’all are gonna learn about the great Pedro of I-95. I’ve dropped the link in the comments.
