@markbrennan_ And the 2 years Westmeath were in division 1 in 2009 and 2014 they lost every match in league and championship.

Since 2022, Derry have played 19 group matches in division 2. Derry are unbeaten in 17 of those 19 group games, winning 15. They won 2 Ulster titles from division 2 and reached 2 All-Ireland semis. Better off staying in the division than going up?
