Hi @naomi_long - if a young person makes a statement of complaint similar to below case, how long would you expect the case to sit with PSNI until they decide to interview the alleged offender? How often would you expect the victim to receive updates from investigating officer?

Detectives from PSNI’s Public Protection Branch have charged a man to court. The 20 year old man has been charged with a number of offences including rape and sexual activity by an adult with a child between 13 and 16. He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today.
