@markcelguy started this research mostly because i wanted to add more trivia to its tv tropes page, but i found quite the rabbit hole to say the least

the more i learn about tonic trouble the more i realise that this game is a tragedy. as in, so much got changed and/or cut from the game that it ship-of-theseused itself into something much inferior than it promised, through endless iterations and delays. it's sad.

@markcelguy 40 characters, 15 worlds, 64dd content (mostly cutcenes - more cutscenes!), multiplayer mode, downloadable bonu levels, more enemy variants, dynamic music that changed with what ed was doing, disguises, rope climbing, i could go on. it's fucked up
