A major way I teach my wife and children what submission looks like is how I submit and relate to the authorities that God has placed over me. Could it be that when there's a lack of submission by those in my home that they're following my example?

This is a serious question and I would appreciate a serious answer. If Scripture must have an authoritative interpreter (such as the RC magisterium, or Orthodox Church, or some nebulous “corporate body”) then please someone tell me what group were the authoritative interpreter ten minutes before Jesus was born? And how, in light of what Jesus taught and how he interacted with the masses, the Scribes, and the Pharisees, can you defend they were authoritative in any sense that refutes Sola Scriptura?

This affects the richest of the rich. I say this as a result of watching and reading @megbasham book and watching @gavinortlund response. So many meaningless tweets could have been prevented by reaching out.

I would contend that most of the contention within the Christian world could be solved if we sent a simple DM, email, or text. Often what we assume about others isn’t accurate and could have been cleared up before it is blown out of proportion.
