Butcher being the final villain should’ve been a season long arc. Hughie putting all he learned to heartbreakingly bring his friend/mentor down.

One of the most powerful emotions we possess as humans is love. It causes us to act unpredictably. Had Sage’s plan gone according to plan, y’all would’ve complained. Imagine if Sage was always right and everything went how she predicted. They would’ve had to wait until the finale to even reveal her plan. For all we know, this could still be apart of her plan. We thought she swore her allegiance to Homelander then they threw us a curve. I think there’s more to her plan than we’ve been let on

but for the A part, instead of making excuses or leaving us to interpret it anyhow we seem fit I still think it’d have been better to address this tho
the first time we saw battle beast was when he almost killed mark in season 1
it was a pretty huge deal
as at then
and the fact these two characters later saw themselves as allies but didn’t address themselves
makes you wonder if these writers are following the story line at all
like they had lots of small talks on the ship

mark nearly got killed by battle beast in season 4 episode 7, he met battle beast in space for the first time
since their fight in season 1 and he didn't even try to address this
then he met cecil at the very last episode, he didn't even tell him anything about conquest
addressing these things would have added a fun element to the story lines imo

In most movies, a speedster is supposed to be faster than everyone else and able to process things in slow motion while running.
A-Train could realistically outrun Homelander, the writers just staged that scene the way they did to mirror how The Boys started, when he killed Hughie’s girlfriend.
