Opening the pubs on #GoodFriday stripped Ireland of another bit of cultural distinctiveness. It was a grubby, materialistic, crass thing to do dressed up in the clothes of 'progress'.

@mullallyelaine I am in Bolivia now. Tomatoes are less than 30c for a half kilo, and are good quality. Back home that’s easily €2-3. Steaks here are about €5 per kilo. Back home it’s about €25. The Irish consumer is getting robbed blind

Their real grievance is that X removed their ability to lie without challenge, control the narrative, and quietly bury stories that embarrass the government. If "harm" were the genuine concern, every major platform would be scrutinised equally. For what it's worth, I believe all sex based content should be banned from all social media. Instead, Irish politicians and NGOs fled to Bluesky, a platform already plagued by child abuse content.
