SUNTAY'S SEXUAL REMARKS VS ANNE CURTIS STRICKEN OUT OF RECORDS WATCH: At the deliberations of the House justice committee on the impeachment suits against Vice President Sara Duterte, Quezon City Rep. Bong Suntay said he once had desires on actress and TV host Anne Curtis. "Sinabi niya lang iyon, nagpapatawa lang siya. Lastly, alam mo minsan nasa Shang-rila ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda ganda pala niya. May desire sa loob ko na nag-init talaga at na-imagine ko na lang ang pwedeng mangyari. Siyempre hanggang imagination ko na lang 'yun. Siyempre hindi ako pwedeng kasuhan dahil kung ano-ano ang na-imagine ko," he said, while defending the remarks of Duterte as the "designated survivor." Suntay insisted there was no sexual innuendo with his remarks. The committee voted to strike his manifestations from the records. | @bylancemejico

HOW SENATORS VOTED ON RESOLUTION REQUESTING ICC TO CONSIDER HOUSE ARREST FOR DUTERTE The Senate adopted proposed Senate Resolution No. 144 (SRN 144), requesting the International Criminal Court (ICC) to hold former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte under house arrest on humanitarian grounds, with a vote of 15–3–2. Senators voting in favor were: Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano, Sen. Bato Dela Rosa, Senate Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Sen. Win Gatchalian, Sen. Bong Go, Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson, Sen. Loren Legarda, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Rodante Marcoleta, Sen. Imee Marcos, Sen. Robinhood Padilla, Sen. Erwin Tulfo, Senate Deputy Minority Leader Villanueva, Sen. Mark Villar, and Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri. Those voting against were Sen. Bam Aquino, Senate Deputy Majority Leader Risa Hontiveros, and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, while Senate President Tito Sotto and Sen. Raffy Tulfo abstained. The resolution, sponsored by Minority Leader Cayetano and co-sponsored by Majority Leader Zubiri, cites Duterte's advanced age and deteriorating health, urging the ICC to assess whether he can withstand regular detention and, if not, to allow house arrest under conditions that maintain the integrity of the ongoing trial.
