@n0crypt @jorgemanru I think ECS priorities memory layout more so there’s actually no indirection in terms of memory access in contrast to this pattern where everything is behind a pointer. I guess in terms of polymorphic types and the idea of traits behavior it’s pretty similar

@jorgemanru Sounds a bit like ECS in game dev. Everything can technically become a trait of something else. Like anything can become commentable if you want, without a direct reference.

This is very special: Jeffrey Hardy explains the recordables pattern we use in Basecamp. Jeff is one of a kind. He is my reference when it comes to designing software with clarity and taste. I have learned tons from him. And this pattern is ridiculously powerful. I don't think it has ever been properly explained. Until now. dev.37signals.com/the-rails-reco…

Been using Cursor for 6 months, just realized it's better for writing than coding. Agent mode >> GPT/claude + Canvas Drafted our whitepaper in 2 hours, turned it into a pitch deck that's better than what we spent 2 weeks on. Raising tomorrow. Will report back.

@iScienceLuvr Try out pathlit.com, which is like agentic Zapier. Just connect a Gmail agent to a GSheet agent or put them in an agent swarm.

Hot take on MCP: It is a toy protocol. It has value in ✅ community-maintained data connector layer But ❌ no multi-tenancy ❌ no/poor authorization mechanism ❌ poor installation + setup experience Who got fixes?

UNC hit me with this: chaos breeds the future. Thankful for a room that drove Pathlit forward.

We had a script, but their curiosity flipped it into a Q&A-driven session—turning the demo into our wildest, most electric run yet. Hands down my favorite Pathlit moment.

Chapel Hill’s sharpest minds hijacked our demo—and we loved it. Flew into UNC earlier this week, and they jumped from their seats when we turned ideas into reality in 60 seconds.

Journaling can be tedious. It takes months to recognize patterns and it’s impossible to comb through past entries. @CherrilynnZ and I are excited to announce @writewithpearl, a journal that reflects with you. ✍️ Pearl visualizes and synthesizes your journal entries with AI-powered emotional understanding, weekly reviews, & more 💌. @D4vPool @elonmusk That’s an interesting idea 🤔 We built a mobile email client at Pathlit that does something similar

I have so many thoughts. In the age of ai why do we need a standard inbox. We need extensions in grok to connect to our preferred carrier, and then grok allows for a single source of catch me up and reply, with extensions to your cloud storage as well it should be readily capable of grabbing any documentation needed in a reply and can sort and file.

Black Friday is basically the startup life in one day: 1. 50% Off Everything: Just like my equity after fundraising :( 2. Doorbusters: Like launching a feature at 3 a.m., hoping someone (anyone) notices 3. Competing for Attention: Others choose between TVs and toasters; we fight for VC head nods and beta testers 4. Impulse Buys: Our decisions to implement “that cool idea” we didn’t validate
