Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness has firmly ensconced himself on the right side of history in taking a firm and unequivocal position on the police being equipped with body-worn cameras.
“The policy of the Government is to fully deploy camera systems for the police force. Just to be clear, there have been some discussions that seem to suggest that the Government doesn’t intend that everyone who interacts with the public should have a body camera. That’s not the case,” said Dr Holness.

I don’t think Nekeisha is at the point of her career where she is concerned with how she is viewed. Her primary goal now is to make a name for herself and unfortunately it doesn’t matter much how that is done in the Caribbean.
In a few years she can rebrand if she chooses. The misogynistic remarks, the lack of respect for authority, the posture she takes on many issues won’t matter to the PNP base she serves.
Measure your critique against that fact.

Music producer Countree Hype has broken his silence after pleading guilty in the United States to charges linked to the smuggling of 30 firearms to Jamaica.
In a video shared online, the producer acknowledged the headlines surrounding the case, saying: “I know some of you may have seen the headlines, some of it may be true… but we positive, big up the people them that reach out to me.”
Despite the guilty plea, Countree Hype said he remains focused and positive, adding that “God knows best” as he continues to deal with the situation.
He also addressed the backlash and negative comments online by reciting the Bible verse John 8:7:
“Let he without sin cast the first stone.”
Federal authorities say the case involves the illegal shipment of guns and ammunition from the United States to Jamaica, with Countree Hype recently entering a guilty plea in court.
He now faces up to 10 years in federal prison at sentencing.

According to the, Dispatcher there were 7 persons in bus and 8 persons in car including driver.
Well thinking Jamaicans are right to be outraged by the continued lawlessness and reckless driving on the roads.
Had this been another bus the outcome could have been very very different.
15 lives were put at risk by this driver, however, the Principal Director of a Civil Society Group chooses to respond in this manner. Puzzling. Yet not surprising.
