A big Right Handed Shot defenseman who is a good age, puts up points and has been well coached for a number of years? Lightning should be all over this guy if they aren't going down the import route.

You can't score over a goal per game over 1.5 seasons in the NIHL and not draw interest from either abroad or the Elite League. This one will sting for sure but as has been shown, everyone can be replaced.

This makes sense, as much as it pains me to say. It is known that there were frustrations when playing for Thunder last year, the minutes just aren't there if the forward corps is coming back mostly intact. Let him have a full year getting top mins in the league then bring home.

If they keep a lot of that core, as well as Caly Rob for a full year, potentially Cownie and Buesa who are rumoured to be on the way ... It'll be a big year.
