Can't help but wonder how many of the recorded NHS 'missed appointments' are for appointments booked by the NHS that you never requested or wanted. Seems to be when over 50 y/o the NHS assumes your sole purpose in life is to attend their pre-booked appointments. 🤨

If people think this is remotely extreme then the Overton window is still way more fucked than I thought it was.
Pete North@FUDdaily

When it comes to third world immigration, most of my views are well to the right of all political parties. I make no apology for it because to take any other position is completely insane. We have low IQ welfare dependent foreigners squatting in social housing, who bring nothing to our shores except the squalor, sectarianism and corruption of their own homelands. They're behind most organised crime, they rape on an industrial scale and they're a massive threat to national security and the proper functioning of our democracy. There is no good reason to allow them to live here. They don't want to assimilate, they're not liked or wanted, and they're certainly not needed. I simply do not understand the mental gymnastics it takes to conclude anything else. Many of our serious problems will be solved if they are simply removed, and Britain will be a better place for it. I would spend whatever it takes to reverse mass immigration. I have no desire to share my homeland or compromise anything to accommodate them or their backwards cultures. I don't even think that's an extreme position. It's only extreme to people who think it's too late to do anything about it, but I don't think it is. Moreover, when the future is a decent into sectarianism and civil war, remigration (however contentious) is vastly preferable to the alternatives. It's not extreme to want to save your country from oblivion, and I don't think anyone pretending otherwise is being honest with themselves.

We need a "working class history month". Remind people just where so many of our hard-fought rights come from and why those in power are so hell-bent on convincing so many people that minorities are the problem.

@exRAF_Al He's had an exceptional career and is an extremely high achiever. But he's now operating in a completely different environment and is constrained by the party shackles. Like a dog with its balls cut off

Nobody disputes his former professional ability, but as a politician Carns is an inexperienced failure. He should focus less on bro salutes, testosterone and self promotion, and a little more on sorting out our military - what we pay him to do. In fairness, promoted too quickly?

This seems to have annoyed people…so I will post it again….to the Fire and Rescue Services that go above and beyond to keep our communities safe…you are our every day heroes. I salute you..🫡🫡🫡

A third-year informed me he's taking two weeks of paternity leave. I congratulated him on the new addition to his family. Then I asked if his infant was prepared to review the closing binders for the shell company merger. He chuckled, assuming it was a joke. I maintained eye contact until the smile abandoned his face. I explained that life events are merely scheduling conflicts. He argued that bonding time is developmentally crucial for a newborn. I completely agreed. I told him the firm is his firstborn, and it's currently crying for attention. He ended up naming the baby after our managing partner. It's a strategic choice. The child will grow up, but equity is forever.

The depreciation of property worth over a million in the Capital has seen many a homeowner selling today facing a significant loss. Increases in taxes have driven foreign buyers out which historically propped up prime property prices at a level that didn’t represent the rest of the domestic market. Today those still keen to reside are making hay, securing postcodes once out of reach for substantial discounts. At the other end of the market; blocks of leasehold flats are facing a similar fate. Here sellers face escalating service charges, ground rent and building safety issues, which are deterring buyers. Outside of these categories there is movement and make no mistake the desire to live in the Capital remains, just not at any cost @bienbutcher @Telegraph bit.ly/4rn73CL

@cricket_badger You’re getting bashed for ‘forgetting’ Australia, but I had the same thought myself. The difference here is that no one is likely to close the gap

@Gabriel64869839 Was at NCHQ when Trevor Soar announced the end of Ark Royal and Harriers to the staff. There were screams of anguish and anger. That SDSR was a big cliff edge

Most people remember the SDSR 2010 because it was traumatic to read out the massacre it set out in detail, but few remember the full sequence of devastations that came before, if that's just it. Or the current one, also happening without a document taking responsibility.

I’ve just realised that part of the UK defence problem is that so many people I speak to had no idea how much the fleet had shrunk. Speaking of bias that’s not a trifling matter.

@gregbagwell Hopelessly unprepared by decades of decline brought about by the expectation that the US would always be our tightest ally and bail us out.

There is a big question mark now about how complacent we were over the US military build up. Did we all think Trump wouldn’t act, or that we would get plenty of warning time as talks progressed? The fact is that we have all been caught short due to US/Israeli action. Reckless?

The UK is looking at a “wide range of options” to help some 300,000 British citizens in countries across the Gulf that have been targeted by Iran over the weekend, @YvetteCooperMP tells @RidgeandFrost. This includes tourists, people on business and those who live in the region

She is literally on the verge of a breakdown because she has no clue what she is involved in or the seriousness of the situation. The greens at this point are utterly malignant. The bear no resemblance to what they once were, just like Labour and the Unions. Those who vote for the likes of this emotionalised clown will get exactly what they deserve.

@BhushanManmath That’s a catch that a few years earlier he would have claimed. This was the advent of umpires using TV replays to determine catches and Punter knew it would look bad - he’d seen Healy’s ‘stumping’ of Lara and didn’t want the same cheating tag
