@GCH6888 @ImtiazMadmood I have noticed the same thing. Germans still carry shame while in school Japanese are taught an alternative version of what they did.

I don’t think that the Japanese have carried the guilt of the crimes they committed in WW2. They just don’t teach these things in school, generally have no sympathy for the comfort women and continue to visit the Yasukuni shrine. While young Germans are very aware of the atrocities of the Nazi regime, young Japanese are generally clueless. I don’t hold it against the Japanese people. Maybe they do feel a deep sense of shame. They just can’t face it.

@FerverasVT @learning_yohei I have lived in Africa they use Commonwealth English as was India when I was there. In Europe where I lived in Germany they used Commonwealth English too and even Russia and Poland does. So yeah, no, you're wrong

@learning_yohei That depends entirely on where you plan to spend the most time. If you're going to be in the UK, Australia (and I think Canada uses some of the UK spelling) British English. Otherwise? American English since it's usually what people will default to on a global scale

@hines_stephen @RayVonRichter @learning_yohei No Australia does not! I have worked in the UK and did notice any difference between the English I spoke and wrote and what Brits spoke and wrote.
