Yesterday, on behalf of the SEDC Management, I presented the 2026 budget proposal of the @SEDCgov before the House of Representatives Committee on SEDC, chaired by Hon. Chris Nkwonta, alongside distinguished members of the Committee. The presentation builds on the same strategic framework earlier discussed with the Senate, highlighting priority initiatives such as the South East Industrial Programme, South East Agriculture Development Programme, Project Preparation Fund for regionwide infrastructure, the South East Venture Capital Programme, and the Michael Okpara Fellowship for Young Leaders, etc These initiatives form part of the Commission’s strategic roadmap aimed at unlocking investment and accelerating sustainable development across the South East, in collaboration with the States and Private sector.
