This is sad. I know as a politician these companies are going to spend a billion dollars against me for saying it but 🤷🏽‍♀️ Pervasive gambling is not good for society. It turns life into a casino, traps people in addiction & debt, surges domestic violence, and fosters manipulation.

Last night, I met Heather, her husband will have to pay $1,400/mo for health insurance if Congress doesn’t extend ACA subsidies. Decisions our leaders make have real and devastating consequences on people like Heather. We can’t let political games hide the impacts on real people.

It seems pretty simple to me: make sure hungry kids have food, make sure health insurance premiums don’t skyrocket, and reopen the government. It’s sad that this common sense approach seems so out of reach for Congress.

Issuing coins with your face on them while people are losing their health care is a bad look. We need the President focused on affordability, not vanity.

As our state economy struggles with the impacts of tariffs, this is another blow to jobs and growth—especially in our rural areas like Centralia and Tri-Cities which have big projects planned. We need a Plan B to save as many jobs and investments as we can!

@rebeccajfaust Thanks for asking! During the early and worst stage of the pandemic, Democrats and Republicans in all states limited all group gatherings to stop the spread of COVID. Since the rules applied to all kinds of gatherings, and didn’t allow some and ban others, it seemed fair to me.

@MarkoLiias I condemn the attack on churchgoers as well. But I find your commentary ... interesting. "People gathering to worship and be in community together represents the best of us." Is that why your party banned church and other assemblages during the Covid Scare?

The continuing attacks on places of worship must stop. My heart breaks for the LDS community in Michigan and around the world. People gathering to worship and be in community together represents the best of us. This was an attack on all of us. We can’t allow it to become normal.
