@markpart1964 @MarkRuddStaffs Unlikely. Just look at American states that have the death penalty. Many inmates are on death row for years whilst endless appeals are held, or because of a lack of availability of lethal drugs. There’s no going back from capital punishment so personally I could never support it.

@MarkRuddStaffs That is completely false Mark, jury trials will remain a key part of the system. What’s being changed is the threshold at which a defendant can elect to have a jury trial. Currently, people are waiting far too long (423 days for rape victims) so something has to be done.
