And probably the best number of all: Our recidivism (return to prison) rate hit an all time low last year of 28.1%. This is top 5 in the country! In 1998 it was 45.7% We have awesome people doing amazing things to help make Michigan a safer place!

We’ve accomplished a lot at the MDOC the past 5 years: -Probation violators to prison ⬇️ 21% -Parole violators to prison w/new felony ⬇️ 27% -Parolees to prison for tech violations ⬇️ 37% -Prison intake ⬇️ 13% -Prison population ⬇️ 9% -Statewide felonies ⬇️ 8%
