We know what this really is Pete. Just look at 2024 B10 media days. ND beat has been terrible this postseason.

@ThomasGalvin When you say "anytime, anywhere" that has to actually mean "anytime, anywhere" and Notre Dame wasn't willing to actually do that ... which I don't blame them for. Nor do I blame USC for throwing it back in Notre Dame's face.

Lincoln Riley says Notre Dame did not "live up to their word" about playing USC "anytime, anywhere" which had been a regular talking point from Marcus Freeman and Pete Bevacqua for the past year. USC wanted early September match-ups.

A person with direct knowledge of the communications between the Big Ten conference office and schools confirmed to @NBCSports that all 18 schools received the full language of the CFP MOU, which was unanimously supported by all current and incoming members in March 2024.

I have one question I haven't seen anyone ask, why was Navy not ranked in the CFP? They are 22 in the AP. Was it just to weaken ND's resume? Navy only lost to ND and UNT both currently top 25 teams

@timomalleyND What is the possible downfall of the old BCS ranking system being applied to the CFP? A committee of human beings full of biases is bound to be very flawed. While the AP and coaches poles have biases, there are other metrics in the BCS system that mitigate those.
