@karunsagar15 @Walkman131 People glaze Oppenheimer when it wasn't even that good as far as Nolan goes, he has many films in his filmography which are better. At the end of the day it had a few good sequences and performances but was largely a boring slog.

The issue with Nolan discourse is that both his harshest critics and staunchest defenders only view his films as commercial products and ignore the formal nuances that make films like Tenet and Oppenheimer stand out amongst their ilk

@Walkman131 its such a stupid argument too. i think its very clear that what we see is from his point of view. the way we hear about the bombings in the movie was the same way oppenheimer heard it back in the days.

BREAKING: Iran's IRGC has just launched an anti-ship cruise missile from Sirik toward the Strait of Hormuz per initial reports, with the likely target being an oil tanker sent by the US that switched off its AIS an hour ago while passing through the US-backed southern route.
This comes as Trump simultaneously claims just minutes ago "there's a deal on Hormuz and there will be a deal on denuclearization" with "new Iran negotiations to begin Monday afternoon."

The brutal realization of prime-aged adult life is that if you have to ask "how someone can afford to do or pay for something in this economy" , you have probably made suboptimal or even downwardly-mobile life choices up until now.

Not to be snarky but many Americans can afford this. Dual income households making $130k - $170k can easily pay for this mortgage. Two incomes are always better than one.

Everyone romanticizes the single life until they're eating alone at 60 with a passport full of stamps and no one to call family. Money loses its thrill, travel becomes routine, and books don't answer back. Marriage or being in a relationship isn't the answer to everything, but neither is solitude.
