Rewatching "Jurassic Park III" this time, I finally get it:
Alan Grant didn’t end up with Ellie because he’s gay...
...and he and Billy were lovers.
The clues are everywhere.
Alan’s strongest emotional connections in the series are with other men: John Hammond, Ian Malcolm, Billy, and the young companions he protects.
Billy’s devotion to Alan feels like much more than a simple assistant relationship.
Grant doesn’t just get angry when Billy steals the Velociraptor eggs - he feels betrayed.
And when Billy is attacked in the aviary, Alan’s reaction feels deeply personal.
Then comes the ending.
When they reunite on the helicopter, Alan is gently stroking Billy’s hand.
That’s the great thing about streaming.
You can rediscover old movies and find hidden layers you never noticed before.

If the only evidence is this video, then yes, these men seem to be acting just like any other men, and it’s the woman who is behaving inappropriately and trying to kiss them. One of them even said “no.”
