@MoTGM Could it be London Road/corner of Whitworth Street with the fire station on the right?

The date is 4 April 1971, and this is the gritty, mean streets of Manchester - but where? As the pic is this week's #MysteryMonday it's over to you to say if you know. We'll confirm the answer later.

@lewisreilly77 Hi Lewis sorry I couldn’t be there post match, but just wanted to say how much myself and other’s have enjoyed and appreciated your footballing skills during your time at @Glossop I’d say not just a top footballer but also a top lad. So thanks for your time and best of luck.

Trolleybus wires, traffic and a very odd van in the middle - a hearse, a Police van? Either way we're not saying where it is, because it's this week's #MysteryMonday pic. Over to you! We'll confirm the answer later.

The Farm Boy Who Touched the Sky, Then Faded into the Fog On this day in 1935, Harold Gimblett played an unforgettable knock on his FC debut with a borrowed bat. But behind the brilliance was a fragile soul; one of cricket’s first silent battles with mental health. A Thread 1/n

Wow, this is powerful from Carol Vorderman 👏 She talks about the poverty she lived through during her upbringing, and how the opportunity for social mobility in the 80s was much better then, than it is for those in poverty today Could this be the reason why so many were swayed into voting for Boris Johnson under his levelling up campaign, unaware that the media that failed to protect society from Johnson's lies, deceit and duplicitous behaviour, were used as a vehicle for Johnson to seek power for shameless self enrichment and greed Leaving those who dared to hope with the humdinger of a reality check when funding after Brexit was actually cut to the regions, whereas before Brexit, a foreign institution, The European Union, cared more for those in poverty than those gesticulating in the Westminster bubble for power and influence

So sad to hear about the passing of Ray Reardon. A titan of snooker. A marvellous man. And this story about his days in the mines is still one of the most astonishing I’ve ever heard…
