Mais Mark Rutte est-il vraiment un lèche-botte ou bien un fin stratège ? Je pense qu'il faut d'abord réfléchir à son rôle : en tant que SecGen, il doit renforcer l'OTAN, assurer sa pérennité et éviter à tout prix que l'alliance soit dissoute dans un climat international plus que délétère. « Sois proche de ton ami et encore plus proche de ton ennemi » est un apophtegme qui convient parfaitement à la stratégie mise en place par Rutte. Européiste convaincu, il est évidemment du côté de l'Europe mais il fait exprès de se ranger du côté de Trump pour mieux le manipuler. À base de basses flatteries et SMS peu glorieux, Mark Rutte est traité de paillasson par beaucoup de gens consternés. Personnellement, j'y vois un homme qui met son propre honneur en retrait pour l'intérêt général : la durabilité de l'OTAN et la protection de tout son continent. Un sacrifice qui porte ses fruits car malgré les humiliations, Rutte est très proche de Trump. Une proximité qui lui permet de tenir la barque de l'OTAN du mieux possible face à un président américain qui fait tout pour la saborder. Si on regarde au-delà des apparences, Mark Rutte exécute une stratégie bien planifiée. Il n'est pas forcément le héros que l'on veut, mais peut-être celui qu'il nous faut🤔🇳🇱
