During the time I built the mood tracker, I spent a lot of time thinking if it actually needed the little raven companion. And yes. It absolutely does. 🐦‍⬛

The logbook calendar is becoming my favorite part of the app (besides the raven and harbormaster that is). I'm still working on getting the heatmap colors nice. Currently 2 palettes available. 🟥🟧🟨🟩🟦 #buildinpublic

The log before and after the watch is kept. 💡 storm -> squall -> overcast -> settled -> clear. You pick the one that's true. Add notes if you want, and the raven does the rest. #buildinpublic

When I planned this app, I wanted it to have all the core values of it available immidiately. No ads. No account required. Your data never leaves your device. No streaks that guilt you. However, it does have a raven, a harbormaster and a logbook named after sea conditions 🌊

When I started designing the app, most decisions revolved around the lighthouse metaphor. I've got more plans for it, but my wireframes, made with excalidraw - it's great btw, has been of great use whenever I want to quickly see or test something. 🫡

I started brainstorming some mood tracker ideas, all from plants, to animals, ocean and ended up with a lighthouse theme. It felt the most right and was what I wanted from a mood tracker. A lighthouse keeper that makes their daily log. 🐦‍⬛

I first built a small tool to extract copy from screenshots, mainly just for fun - nothing I was intending to further build on (for now anyway) but I might pick it back up. After that, I started dabbling with Flutter and learning that so I could finally make my mood tracker.

I haven't kept up with x unfortunately. Time just flies by when you're learning and building something.

Who would've thunk? trying not to be ironic about writing copy for a copy tool 🖊️- it's difficult, but achieveable (probably). Just going to test, test and test again what works. Otherwise, just landing page work today to get that finished asap🎨 #BuildInPublic

@martinedev_ good luck! Could try A/B testing but if there's no user in the first place just go 100% and see what happens

Today mostly went to email setup with Resend and testing, as well as fixing rest of the styling on the landing page. Mostly just fixing small stuff and preparing illustrations/images with Figma ✓ #buildinpublic
