@marclou Would this have been possible or even on your radar without AI?

I just added keyboard shortcuts to DataFast 🖱️ Last 30 days should be "M" for Month, but I'm already using it for the Map (real-time globe)... I won't be able to sleep, so: - Globe should now open with G? (1.2K users will be confused) - Move on?

@_JohnBuilds_ I don't care how many likes or followers I get. I comment and then move on. That's it.

@_JohnBuilds_ That is my story. "Why do you tweet?" I am asked," You have few followers, fewer see those posts & fewest like them." My reply: That urge within impels me. As Bhavabhuti wrote: Space is infinite & time eternal; eventually someone will get it उत्पत्स्यते तु मम कोऽपि समानधर्मा

@willshome Compassion and empathy makes the world go around. If I can share my message with more people, is that such a bad thing?

@_JohnBuilds_ @sickdotdev Have you tried codex? Everyone I know WHO IS NOT A FRONTEND DEVELOPER is mindblown how much better codex is. The model: - outputs much higher code quality (which matters for backend/logical code) - offers higher usage on higher speed and no stability issues [1/2]

Two weeks after moving from Claude Code to Codex: - GPT-5.5 high effort uses ~2-4x less than Claude Code Sonnet 4.6 (cut my setup from two Claude Max 20x accounts to one $100 ChatGPT plan) - Codex UI feels weird for 2-3 days, then becomes a non-issue - GPT-5.5 high is giving me noticeably better code than Opus 4.7 - Much better transparency into agent reasoning/output - Codex uptime has been rock solid; Claude Code was hitting outages every few days Biggest downside: Claude Code still has the more mature plugin ecosystem + better skills/frontmatter support If you’re a plugin developer, that matters. If you’re an end user, maybe less so.

@_JohnBuilds_ @sickdotdev well for one it's not randomly charging me out the ass because it saw a scary word in my repo history. and, it lets me use my pi setup with good subagent controls instead of their creepy buggy flickery system-scanning data farming harness. not being developer-hostile is nice.

@asaio87 The AI writes clean code, but who's fixing the mess when it hallucinates the logic?

Harsh truth AI coding agents write much better code than many developers can ever do It is safe to say that right ?

@levelsio how fast would you expect your responses to come? Are these simple tasks that you think should respond right away?

If Claude Code keeps being slow like this while I pay $200/mo (and they don't let me pay more) They will essentially force me to leave to Codex and I don't want to But it's soooooo slooooooooooooowwwww
