Not everyone is patients, but we are all citizens. @KarstenJuhl on communicating the uncertainty of the effects of healthcare interventions, both benefits and harms. Important for preventive interventions such as screening programmes, where participants are not patients.

@jd_wilko I have once used our institutions subscription to check a paper where some initial flags were raised, but only for text-comparisons. The subscription is quite costly I Imagine if it’s not currently available though. Optional check if infrastructure is in place perhaps?

For an RCT grant proposal with 3 primary outcomes (yes, they're all of equal interest), I'm pondering corrections for multiple comparisons. Have any funding agencies taken positions on the multiple comparisons issue? Particularly interested in those related to medical research

Mostly because other trials seem to use an active control group, which would limit/reduce any bias in the self-reported measures compares to usual care?
