We just raised $300M in Series C! Helicopters and small planes are vastly less safe than large commercial aircraft. @Skyryse is bringing the safety of commercial aviation and the simplicity of driving an EV to the world of general aviation and military aviation. Several months ago, I joined the advisory board of Skyryse because I was super impressed by the management team and the scale of its mission. We set out to raise $150M Series C. Today, we announced the closing of an oversubscribed and upsized round of over $300M at $1.15B valuation, with a cap table that I'm very proud of. I can't wait to see Skyryse's 21st-century tech transform the aviation industry. techcrunch.com/2026/02/03/sky…

The Black Hawk has landed at @Skyryse! Thanks to SkyOS (Skyryse’s operating system) and its fly‑by‑wire technology, Black Hawks will transition from being among the most challenging aircraft to fly to being easily operable with a single joystick—or even piloted remotely from a ground station. This is a huge milestone for Skyryse! Once the world sees that flying can be this much safer and simpler, there’s no looking back.

Black Hawk has landed. Flying with SkyOS™ this year. Stay tuned to get a peek inside our hangars.

Today, I joined the advisory board of @Skyryse. I’ve always loved helicopters and small planes, but they’re nowhere near as safe as they could be. The software and controls in the aviation industry are stuck in the 1980s. Then I came across Skyryse, a company bringing 21st-century software (SkyOS) and controls to aviation. I loved the idea. I sat in their helicopter and flew their simulator. But the most impressive part to me was the team—the passion, the mission, the disruptive mindset. I saw too many similarities to what I experienced at Tesla to pass up this opportunity. I’m honored to be part of Skyryse’s advisory team. skyryse.com/resources/form…

NEWS: Nvidia shows how its new “Cosmos” system uses cars to generate synthetic real world driving scenarios to train self-driving cars. It can create drivable 3D environments. Driving scenario variations can be generated from replayed drive logs or AI traffic generators. Next, a neural reconstruction engine uses autonomous vehicle sensor logs to create high fidelity 4D simulation environments. It replays previous drives in 3D and generates scenario variations to amplify training data. Nvidia’s AI data factory scales hundreds of drives into billions of effective miles.

@SawyerMerritt Opinion 2: At least in 2024, affordability was no longer an issue. I believe, lack of EV education is by a country mile the main reason why people are not converting from ICE to EV quickly enough.

OPINION: Jay is wrong here. There are plenty of people from all political sides that still want to buy EVs but haven't yet. Elon didn't endorse Trump to bring conservative buyers to Tesla. Affordability and lack of EV education are two big reasons why some people don't buy EVs. Overall, EV adoption is still strong. Tesla is still a sales leader in California, where a lot of liberals live.

I remember vividly hearing for the first time: "We're building a new Model 3 general assembly line in a tent" I'm like: "sorry, there's something wrong with the reception, I heard we're building a line in a tent" 🤣😱🤣 Fun times! Brought a lot of investors there

@_milankovac_ Milan, this was amazing! I remember walking through the Optimus lab on regular basis, getting the vibes of how the future might look like. Many companies release shiny videos of robots doing cool things, but having bots walk among the crowd is a whole different ball game.

Very proud of and grateful for the team's hard work leading to our 10/10 event last week.  So excited to give many people a live feel of our progress with Optimus and its expected future capabilities! We had about 20 active bots at all times -  walking through a packed crowd, dancing, taking selfies, or even pouring drinks and handing out snacks. While of course they were human assisted to some extent to help showcase our vision of an amazing future, they walked, balanced and danced on their own for ~4 hours straight, with only one single fall (someone's handbag caught a bot's hand). We were also excited to show progress on our next-gen hand/forearm, which doubles the hand's degrees of freedom from 11 to 22, and considerably expands tactile sensing coverage. Making nice demo videos is not easy, but ensuring a safe live operation of many humanoids for hours in a public outdoor environment imposed a much higher bar. Through this push, we made significant improvement across full-body controls & locomotion, hardware stability, and infrastructure. Further progress towards bot autonomy has also been made in the background, which we'll share very soon. We really had a blast!

Loved seeing so many of my former colleagues today as well as so many shareholders! I gotta say, getting to watch the show minus all the stress that comes with organizing stuff...was a lot of fun 😂 No wonder so many people show up for every event!

@SawyerMerritt Reasonable points. Agree that the biggest challenge is that supply of available Teslas would be inversely correlated to the consumer demand curve. People would make their cars available when they're not using them, so in most cases, outside of peak travel times.

Uber CEO on the idea that Tesla owners will rent out their vehicles as taxis when they aren't using them: "It's not clear that the average Tesla owner would want to have that car be ridden in by a complete stranger; Probably the times at which you're going to want your Tesla are probably going to be the same times that ridership is going to be at a peak," he said. Khosrowshahi said Uber can quickly adjust the number of part-time drivers to meet demand during rush hour or large events. Khosrowshahi also said Musk might be underestimating a key part of the business. He said building a $50,000 piece of hardware is a "very, very different business" than driving over 30 million transactions every day. There is also the customer service side of things, like when someone gets sick during a ride or loses an item in a car, he said. Full interview: businessinsider.com/uber-ceo-khosr…

One of the great things about speaking with investors about Tesla is that *everyone* has an opinion about this company, often a strong one. People might not have strong view about LVMH or Eli Lilly business, but they sure as hell have views about Tesla 😂

Just insane how low the lease rates are, despite the super aggressive monthly rates. People are not interested in leasing a 3/Y with the silly no buy-back clause. This is a very easy lever that can be pulled to drive more volume.
