@AnyunguWanyungu @nut3case Interfaces compile differently, yes, are cached by the TS compiler and slightly faster to resolve But: The difference is milliseconds, you will never feel it Still using type for unions anyway so you're already paying the cost TypeScript's compiler has gotten dramatically faster

@marto_dev @nut3case Did you read the docs? Interfaces and types compile differently. Me to you. Always Prefer interfaces unless you need a special functionality that only types can offer. The Power of types comes with other costs. Also try and follow what the creators of Typescript recommend.

@AnyunguWanyungu @nut3case Interfaces are great when you're building a TypeScript library and need people to extend your types. That's basically it. For everyday app development, type does everything interface does and more. Why use two tools when one is strictly more powerful?

@nut3case @AnyunguWanyungu @AnyunguWanyungu @nut3case type can do everything interface can + more. interface can't do unions, tuples, or conditional types. Plus defaulting to type keeps your codebase consistent, no more randomly mixing types and interfaces
