The modern ideal of Multiculturalism is largely a myth. There will always be a dominant culture, and under Albanese’s approach it may soon no longer be distinctly Australian. Introducing disparate foreign cultures doesn’t create a harmonious blend. Instead these groups tend to form enclaves. This doesn't create social cohesion it creates a nation of strangers. Unity is created through shared culture and values (similarity) and not from diversity. A great example is Vietnam. Vietnam isn't improved by becoming less Vietnamese and more multicultural. The same logic applies to Australia. Vietnamese immigrants have made valuable contributions to Australian society no doubt, but that doesn't mean Australia would be better off if it was more Vietnamese. Yes, Albanese appears indifferent in the face of losing our national identity which made Australia the place everyone wants to come to. He cares about his own political ambitions and approval among his globalist left-wing peers.
