Alex Padilla is my friend and my senator. Today while working on behalf of the people of California, he was tackled and handcuffed by DHS officials. This isn’t about justice — it’s about power. We are watching the machinery of government being weaponized to punish political opponents. That’s not law and order — that’s authoritarianism creeping in under the cover of legal process.
