‼️I’m Vehemently Opposed to the Creation of a Third Party‼️
Let me preface this by saying I support both President Trump & Elon Musk. I think I speak for many — hopefully — that we wish both “dads” can come to an agreement & work together for successful 2026 midterm elections.
It is also important to note that, while having a Republican White House, House, & Senate, we must be cognizant that — even w/ a majority — it still proves a challenge to get *every* single thing Republicans want in budget bills.
Arguments Against a Third Party
▪️Ross Perot Spoiler Effect
In 1992, billionaire Ross Perot ran as an independent for president. Perot earned 18.9% of the vote; George H. W. Bush received 37.5% of the vote; & Bill Clinton won the presidency w/ 43%.
In Pennsylvania, for example, Clinton won 2.2 million votes in the Commonwealth. Bush and Perot earned 1.7 million and 900,000 votes, respectively. One could argue that Bush could have won Pennsylvania if Perot were not in the race.
▪️Not the Majority in Many States
In Pennsylvania, voters w/ no party affiliation or registered w/ a minor party do NOT make up the majority of the Commonwealth.
There are 3.8 million registered democrats, 3.6 million registered Republicans; & independents/minor parties only have 1.4 million voters.
The argument that independents are the majority is not the case for Pennsylvania.
▪️ “America Party” Pulls From Republicans
I’m going to say it: What it means to be a democrat in modern American society means that America should come last. This is a party that has fought harder for Ukraine and funding for other countries — as well as illegal aliens — than homeless Americans. Even liberal judges, appointed by President Obama, have worked tirelessly to try to stop President Trump from deporting illegal aliens.
Using the name “America Party” is an automatic disqualifier for many democrat voters, as this is the party that burns the American flag and waves the Mexican and Palestinian Authority flags, instead.
With the left vandalizing Tesla vehicles and largely despising the beautiful Elon Musk — the architect of the America Party — the creation of a third party would mostly hurt the Republican Party of Pennsylvania.
▪️Ballot Access Remains Difficult
As recent as the 2024 presidential elections, the Libertarian Party LOST automatic ballot access in Georgia due to a lack of votes.
In 2020, the current democrat Pennsylvania Supreme Court removed Green Party presidential candidates from the ballot.
▪️Candidates (or Lack Thereof)
In addition to funding the ballot access for candidates to even make the ballot, you have to have candidates for your third party.
Respectfully — & I say this as nicely as possible — we cannot even get enough people to run for vacant seats as it currently stands. Similarly, we cannot even get enough Election Day Workers to fill every Republican slot in critical counties in swing states. I would argue that Election Day Workers are one of the most important positions in the country, as they oversee our elections — thousands remain open.
👉For these reasons above, I vehemently oppose the creation of a third party, while deeply respecting both President Trump & Elon Musk.👈
I’ve dedicated much of the last decade to Pennsylvania. We are 74,606 *active* voters away from flipping Pennsylvania 🟦🔜🟥. While the reasons above reflect historical and scientific data against the creation of a third party, I also selfishly oppose it simply b/c I’ve worked too hard in Pennsylvania to see years of sweat equity go to waste.
I want to shift the Overton window to the right. The only way I know how to do that is by registering as many new Republican voters as humanly possible & to elect new Republicans at the local, state, & federal levels.
I hope to have earned your support AGAINST the creation of a third party & to have secured your support to create the most robust Republican Party that Pennsylvania has ever seen.
Game on.
