At what age does CVD risk begin to diverge among South Asians compared to other groups? Understanding risk trajectories allows us to identify people who can benefit from prevention before CVD events.

Premature CVD in South Asians is not a new observation. The literature is saturated with confirmations that add little. What we need now are interventional trials demonstrating how to reduce that risk.

Need more South Asian individuals to join research studies… Dismal representation in trials (3%) and even worse in genetic studies (1%) Hard to believe these lousy stats because SA represent 23% (1.8B) people in the world
