@Shattubatu @tfpump Choosing to have a source of E is caring about your health. Just because you’re fine wasting away without hormones doesn’t mean others are fakers or okay with detransitioning.

@tfpump True, I didn't have the space to say exactly what I wanted to say. Losing access to T would be (forecful) detransition. Choosing to have an endogenous source of E would be choosing to automatically "retransition" if access is lost. This is the bit that seemed crazy to me.

Some trans men keep an ovary just in case they lose access to T. I asked "Why would you want to detransition if you lose access??" and they said "well, when you've been exposed to T, having female levels of E doesn't stop you from looking like a man" and I almost killed myself

@glegleKnowsBest @allijnera @the_moral_abc This is not true. Testosterone is a class 3 drug, highly regulated and illegal to have without a prescription. Estrogen is not a controlled substance. Both have risks but sourcing Testosterone is definitely not easier.

@allijnera @the_moral_abc DIY is easier for trans men. You can literally buy T with a credit card and get it the next day, and there are thousands of vendors online. Meanwhile, you have to have crypto to buy E and there are like 10 vendors in the entire world.
