SETTLEMENT: $4,050,000 Maricopa County is set to approve a big settlement in the in-custody death of Akeem Terrell. This is on top of the $800,000 settlement from Phoenix PD for their role. Almost $5M total. Guess if any officers got disciplined... Answer: No.

It is clear my opponent and her staff violated the policy of reviewing video footage, specifically body camera footage before charging Tyron. My opponent is not fit for office and frequently demonstrates poor leadership and judgement - from the Charles Ryan case to this one and a multitude of other cases under her watch, she has failed Maricopa County. Yesterday, she issued a statement that is not a statement, it is once again Mitchell showing she cannot make the appropriate decision for justice. It is time for transparency, accountability and change at MCAO. It is time to be strong and smart on crime with a leader the community has confidence in to make these decisions.
