@mastero_mr @Mumsfilibabba_ In 2019, we had a single politician that didnt get elected mention the great replacement. Now we have an elected party that mentions it in its party program. We also have a party with 10% of the votes referencing remigration. Id say its progress. Id say its more likely than not

Sanghays only know how to bend over for people who want to destroy them. Imagine being this retarded. Reminds me of the Jewish organisation which sought to influence Nazis.

@mastero_mr @Mumsfilibabba_ Both yes and no. 10 years ago we had one anti immigration party. Now every party is anti immigration in rhetoric. Anti immigration rhetoric is mainstream so to say. It hasnt translated to action yet

also the divide bw british blr and indian blr
Uppittoo 3.0@chauchaubhath

So the green divider. After the Fourth Mysore War of 1799, the Wodeyars signed the subsidiary alliance and then, Mysore became a vassal state of the British. Bangalore came to be the state's biggest cantonment. And thence, the green divider was drawn. A combined effort of the Wodeyars as well as the Brits, this served to separate geographically the Cantonment from the native Bangalore city. It also served as a green lungspace for the whole city. Starting off in the North with the vast greens of the Tata Institute, it continued largely Southwards, gradually slanting Eastwards as it stretched through Sankey tank, the Palace grounds, the High grounds (where lies the Bangalore Golf Club of today), Cubbon Park (the western and northern parts of which house the Planetarium, Lok Bhavan and Vidhan Soudha today), the Sampangiram Nagar lake (today's Kanteerava stadium), Wilson Garden (which today is a teeming residential locality) and Lal Bagh, ending with the green space on which today's NIMHANS is situated. That was the southerly limit of the city back then. So #Bangalore has been a garden #city for much longer than you and I might've thought. 😊 One thing, though : the various parts of the city might not have all developed at the same time. The Tata Institute, for instance, was established only in 1909, while Lalbagh existed in the days of Tipu. Bangalore Palace was late 19th century, while NIMHANS was built only after independence. By the latter days of the Raj, however, the green swathe was more or less complete. #History #Heritage #Bengaluru

@mastero_mr the recent urban fund from central govt has increased outlay for cities, plus municipalities are looking at municipal bonds to raise money.. these can fix many things in near future.

@streetfrontier What's the point when bus gets stuck in traffic Delhi has introduced some small feeder buses to metro stations but when I look inside them I just see my tax burning away in those engines They are always empty with atmost 1 person sitting in them I am sure they might work on

@streetfrontier If you asked me to design my dream City it wont have any grids I talk about grids because urban planning is way easier in grid formats for our brainless bureaucrats. It is the way they have to think the less

@mastero_mr i will try to keep it brief, coz this answer will need a blog post. 1. Grids are great, but not mandatory. Tokyo for instance doesn't follow grids, but still walkable, dense and transit oriented. indian grids are designed to cater to vehicles.

@streetfrontier There are a lot of issues like this And I don't expect our cities to become Barcelona but it could atleast solve these issues How do you reckon we fix that How do we get developers to focus from a housing society to a grid Ik it's a vague question but try and give your opinions

@streetfrontier Poors because somebody has to be the maid in those housing societies There is no sense of street life, walkability or bikeability and even in the odd cases where it is there , the things are so far apart walking or biking falls apart as an option
