Political Polarization will be the end of us

@nikitabier Let’s be honest, the problem is bot farms in third world countries. Can you do a carve out for Westerners - Europeans, Australians - talking about politics in other Western countries? Australia, Europe, North America, can you make it a unified region @elonmusk @nikitabier

Drone shots vs reality on ground.

A Hindu Indian woman from Gurgaon went to South Korea for her studies. She said that she eats beef, and her family has no problem with it. Why are modern feminist Hindu women like this? Is eating beef cool for them? No respect for our religion or culture?

So the green divider. After the Fourth Mysore War of 1799, the Wodeyars signed the subsidiary alliance and then, Mysore became a vassal state of the British. Bangalore came to be the state's biggest cantonment. And thence, the green divider was drawn. A combined effort of the Wodeyars as well as the Brits, this served to separate geographically the Cantonment from the native Bangalore city. It also served as a green lungspace for the whole city. Starting off in the North with the vast greens of the Tata Institute, it continued largely Southwards, gradually slanting Eastwards as it stretched through Sankey tank, the Palace grounds, the High grounds (where lies the Bangalore Golf Club of today), Cubbon Park (the western and northern parts of which house the Planetarium, Lok Bhavan and Vidhan Soudha today), the Sampangiram Nagar lake (today's Kanteerava stadium), Wilson Garden (which today is a teeming residential locality) and Lal Bagh, ending with the green space on which today's NIMHANS is situated. That was the southerly limit of the city back then. So #Bangalore has been a garden #city for much longer than you and I might've thought. 😊 One thing, though : the various parts of the city might not have all developed at the same time. The Tata Institute, for instance, was established only in 1909, while Lalbagh existed in the days of Tipu. Bangalore Palace was late 19th century, while NIMHANS was built only after independence. By the latter days of the Raj, however, the green swathe was more or less complete. #History #Heritage #Bengaluru

Visited the newly launched Indira Canteen by Kochi Corporation this morning. The food was delicious, and such affordable dining spaces are a social necessity. I am confident that Indira Canteen will be a great success. Best wishes to all involved.
