But in that bill are likely a bunch of services provided to indigent people and billed to you.
Ask for an itemized bill and they probably just close the bill as uncollectible to avoid sending you the fake Billings.
If they send an itemized bill and you point things out the likely disappear.
Healthcare in US is broken.
