@TalkingTHFC I think at this point we can safely assume the squad are just …bad/championship players. All of them bar maybe one/two max. Not about digging deep. They just aren’t good enough. Doesn’t matter who manages. Proof is in last 60 prem leagues games. No one (fans/manager) saves this

Never thought I'd see us in this position. Utterly heartbreaking. You have to worry that, with all the momentum and energy we've given them this week, if you can't win this game, the rest are going to be a mountain to climb. Can only hope they dig deep with what time they have left.

@RickySacks Why still any faith in any of these players? Not a SINGLE player in the entire squad (injured or not) who is anything other than terrible. No manager can coach this lot. All awful. If just one player was any good we wouldn’t be in this position.

Igor Tudor decides to keep on the bench at half-time the only creative player we have got in Xavi Simons. If we do not change this manager Tottenham Hotspur will be relegated, four games, four different formations, players played out of position, one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

Can't believe someone bought my Palace ticket on the exchange. If you're in block 260 and on row 11, go and give them a hug from me.

Today: part one of THE ROMAN CONQUEST OF BRITAIN. It is 55 BC. JULIUS CAESAR, the conqueror of Gaul, has his gaze fixed on a mysterious & barbarous island set amid the waters of the Ocean. But what will he find there – & how successful will he be? linktr.ee/restishistory

@allenholub For a pet store college project app this all sounds fine; real world enterprise too simplistic. Many issues with delivering software; newest one of them is insisting on agile form people who have spent 2 days reading Agile manifesto and don’t understand context of project

I don’t know why I appear either. Clearly, you are convinced that the way you work is the only way to work. I don’t work that way, so pretty much everything I say will seem ridiculous to you. I suggest muting me. FWIW, some banks (ANZ, for example) do not develop software the way that you describe. They are much more agile than that.

🤦‍♀️. Why are people so convinced that waterfall up-front (functional) requirements are essential? They're a disease. They're at the core of waterfall thinking. There is no place for them when you work with agility.

The Debate: Trump was recognizably Trump -- though perhaps a bit more reserved and focussed than usual. Biden was a pale shadow of his former self. Frail. Halting. Confused. Addled. Almost unrecognizable from the fiery joke-and-gaffe peddling VP he was under Obama. When I saw Biden walk in and heard his mumbling answers my jaw almost hit the floor. I grabbed the armrests of my chair and leaned forward in bug eyed amazement. Jesus! I had not expected _that_! The media panic is palpable. Virtually every previously staunch defender of Biden who backed the "Cheap Fake" narrative, from Morning Joe Scarborough, to the ladies of the View, have thrown Biden under the bus demanding a new candidate. The media have tried to accuse Trump of lying and lying and lying; but that's not what I saw. Biden certainly told a bunch of whoppers, like no troops were killed on his watch, or the tired old "very fine people" baloney that even Snopes has had to debunk. But Trump, while often vague and/or hyperbolic (recognizably Trump) provided a set of facts that match observation. Yes, Afghanistan was a disastrous embarrassment. Yes, illegal immigration is a horrific problem. Yes, inflation is horrible. Yes, under Trump we had a stronger border. Yes, there were no wars under Trump. Yes, the economy was much better under Trump. Yes, we were energy independent under Trump. The list goes on. The bottom line, from my point of view is that Trump won the debate on _substance_. Had Biden's delivery been more youthful and energetic, he still would have lost on the substance.

It's time to call out these comments. When I started my career, the BBC called a programme I went on, about debt crisis "Hey Big Spender" - I objected. The biggest cause of debt crisis was change of circumstance. Since we've had a pandemic, cost of living crisis, mental health crisis. People lose jobs, lose partners, lose legs. People get cancer, have mental health breakdowns, get disabilities that stop them working. The idea that everyone can have enough saved to bring up a child when they have a child (ie £100,000s) is ludicrous. The idea that we should live in a society where there is no underlying support for people who need it, is dystopian. While there will be a few who desire to be on benefits. I suspect its very much the minority. A huge chunk of those getting Universal Credit are IN WORK. A majority of those getting child benefit are IN WORK. This was about a late payment for money many rely on. Show some bloody compassion!
TB@trickybroon

@MartinSLewis If you require benefits to survive, why are you breeding?

Who are the most ‘you only need the hits’ group? I’ve been listening to The Police lately and the singles are wall to bangers, not a duff one. As soon as you try an album track it’s like walking into a music shop full of posh kids. Any other suggestions for ‘best of’ only bands?
