Whatever's in balance doesn't matter.
It's what you make of the situation when leaning on the inefficient side
"Perfectly balanced" is a Thanos meme. Not reality. It serves however as the default benchmark: 50% - 50%
Say you're feeling down today. Translated to percentages, you could be feeling 70% bad and 30% good
Objectively speaking, it's not your best day. You'd rather lie in bed than go to work. But this doesn't define you for that day. What does is what you make of the extra 20% bad
Right now, you have 2 choices:
1. Pity yourself and succumb to (hopefully) temporary misery
For example, waiting it out. Or perhaps making it worse by self-neglect.
2. Make yourself better
Just doing something nice for yourself, like taking a walk. Anything to shrink the 70% of negative thoughts you're feeling and increasing the 30% of goodness.
Does this mean that it's bad to sit with your negative emotions? Actually, that's how you initially learn what works to get on your feet.
You can replace these feelings with anything. "Healthy and sick", "eager and uninterested", "motivated and unmotivated".
Stop trying to find balace and start creating systems to pull yourself out of dark places.
It's how you build resilience instead of just keeping afloat.
