Co można mieć za 10 miliardów złotych, które dopłacamy rocznie do nierentownego górnictwa? ✅ Na przykład 60 kilometrów kolei dużych prędkości. ✅ Albo 50 nowych pociągów piętrowych, które jeżdżą 200 km/h wraz z utrzymaniem przez 30 lat. ✅ Albo trzy czwarte pierwszej linii metra w Krakowie (całość ma kosztować 13 mld zł). Można by mieć wiele ładnych rzeczy. Można by. No ale trzeba by w końcu podjąć jakieś decyzje o reformie górnictwa, a tych nie podjęli ani @BeataSzydlo, ani @MorawieckiM, ani @donaldtusk. Czas leci, koszty wydobycia rosną, a publiczna kasa płynie do nierentownych kopalń coraz szerszym strumieniem. Obecnie wydobycie tony węgla kosztuje już 1000 zł. Przychody ze sprzedaży węgla w PGG nie wystarczają nawet na zapłatę wynagrodzeń. Jak pisze Rafał Zasuń z portalu @WysokieNapiecie: „Lansowana przez obrońców nierentownych kopalń teza, że dopłacając do nich zapewniamy sobie bezpieczeństwo energetyczne jest absurdalna – bezpieczeństwo dają nam elektrownie węglowe, które pracują obecnie jako jednostki podszczytowe i szczytowe – głównie wtedy kiedy nie wieje i nie świeci. Zamiast chodzić, jak niegdyś, po 7-8 tys. godzin w roku, pracują po 2-3 tys. godzin, więc zużywają znacznie mniej węgla.  Najgorsze, najbardziej nierentowne kopalnie należałoby więc zamknąć, zachowując wydobycie w tych najlepszych. Węgla starczyłoby z nawiązką. Ale politycy zamykać kopalń nie chcą. (…) Gdy bowiem na szali z jednej strony stanie 10 mld zł pieniędzy podatników, a z drugiej stabilność i interesy struktur partyjnych na Śląsku, decyzja nie będzie trudna”. Financial Times: Poland’s clean energy usage overtakes coal for first time “This past quarter was a real breakthrough for renewables,” said Marek Józefiak, a spokesperson for Greenpeace Poland. “But we are wasting record amounts of renewable energy because our energy system cannot absorb it. “We’re finally on the right path, but progress could have been faster if our politicians had planned things better and ended policies designed mostly to appease our coal trade unions.” Link to the article in the next tweet.
