All eyes on Wes Streeting. But within Westminster there's an increasing focus on Andy Burnham, and his claim to have a seat locked down. A number of previously supportive MPs are now starting to question his claim. One just told me "if he's got this seat we need to see it now. Not tomorrow, not in a week. Today".

Plaid Cymru top in Gwyr Abertawe, which covers most of the city of Swansea. Along with dominant displays in the two Cardiff seats, and it's a major breakthrough for the party in the country's two largest urban centres. Also did much better than expected in Newport.

Starmer factor only a small part of this. Has been coming for years after governing since 99. Last nail in coffin has been combination of Gething chaos, 20mph backlash and anger over health care.
