@RIHEALTH @RIDeptEd @wpri12 @NBC10 what is the plan when many Providence classrooms are 99 degrees plus on Thursday and Friday??? the children become physically ill when it is that hot with little air movement.

What if our rubrics were wheels instead of linear progressions that give the impression of learning coming to an end? A colleague brought me this idea and I can’t stop thinking about it.

right after I moved to Ann Arbor, I was with some ppl, talking about Spielberg films, and this one guy pronounced Munich as “Munitch” and I didn’t want to laugh but he was such a blowhard that I couldn’t help it and I think about that sometimes when I want to be a better person

The new guidance, released 8/24, state desks as far apart as possible. Hi Rhode Island, this is what that looks like. @lborgprojocom @AshCullinane @DanMcGowan anybody who’s not me just screaming into a void care to take the baton on this one?
Dina Volpe@Dmm74

I was told today I have 21 students coming in on 9/14. These desks need to be 6 FEET apart, not 6 INCHES apart!! How am I doing this?? It’s impossible!😩 New RIDE guidelines of 3.5 ft will not work either!! Please send help!!! @GinaRaimondo @NBC10 @AInfanteGreen @PLEERI

2. We expect every other district to provide in-person option to every student. Does not mean bringing everyone into the building 9/14. Districts have 1 month to gradually return students, with every student whose parents chose in-person learning back in the classroom by 10/13.

If a student or school staff member wakes up with symptoms, they’ll need to stay home and schedule a COVID test by calling our dedicated K-12 testing hotline. More info about that hotline will be shared before the school year begins.
