Vandaag 32 jaar geleden verklaarde parlement Oekraïne onafhankelijk. Op 1 december 1991 werd die onafhankelijkheid door meerderheid (92%) der Oekraïners bevestigd. Ook op Krim en in Donbas stemden meesten (>54% resp. 84%) voor uittreden uit Sovjet-Unie.
