I was born in Donbas. I spoke russian every day. No one ever punished me for it. No one ever took it away. We had our lives. Our streets. Our memories. We didn’t need “protection.” We didn’t ask for war. russia came with destruction. But Donbas is still in me. Ukrainian. Always.

Scott Bessent said 2 days ago there would be no more extensions. Now Donald Trump extends sanctions relief on Russia for another month, also recently lifting sanctions on Belarus, which also eased pressure on Moscow. At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy warns Belarus is preparing to become more active in the war. That’s a system being driven consciously, and Ukrainians are paying for it.

Belarus is preparing for war with Ukraine, - Zelensky According to intelligence data, roads to the territory of Ukraine are being built and artillery positions are being set up. I have instructed the relevant channels to warn the actual leadership of Belarus about Ukraine's readiness to defend its land and independence.

Kyiv burns as Ukraine no longer has any Patriot interceptor missiles - the only defense against Russian Iskander ballistic missiles. Vice President Vance recently bragged of his "proudest" achievement - cutting off military support for Ukraine.

It is becoming more apparent that a main goal of the Trump administration is to destabilize Europe and NATO while supporting Russia. This is a total reversal of previous administrations. The question that needs to be asked and answered is Why.

I think we all know Trump has been a fellow traveler of Putin for decades, that he's always been intrigued by the Russian Federation, that he was cultivated by the KGB and then the GRU as a useful idiot, that whenever he bankrupted another business, he was always rescued by Russian sanctioned banks, that in the 90s and onward he had ties to the Russian Mob and Manhattan Real Estate interests, that many of the tenants in Trump Tower were Russian operatives. This is all common knowledge. He's indebted to Russian interests, he spiritually, "intellectually," and emotionally aligns with them and their common vision for a new world order where Might Makes Right. Trump wants to broker a "deal" between Russia and Ukraine that is completely on Russia's terms. This is obvious so why aren't people talking more about it. None of this is new. People are still in denial over it because it's absolutely unthinkable that this was ever allowed to happen to our country.

APPLEBAUM: Trump administration wants to do business with Russia, and war in Ukraine is an obstacle. They treat it like trivial problem that could be solved if Zelenskyy would just step aside. It’s profound arrogance, ignorance, and hubris all wrapped into one. This is a really big war. It’s a war about European civilization, the same civilization they claim to care about. It’s about sovereignty. Do Ukrainians not deserve sovereignty? This is illustrative of the deep shallowness of Trump administration and their inability to spend even five minutes trying to understand what these conflicts around the world are actually about.

@gerardtbaker @VP morally bankrupt How sick to be proud of stopping support to a country fighting for its survival Trump promised to end war in 24hrs then tried to force Ukraine to capitulate & give ruSSia everything then ended all support, lifted sanctions, rolled out the red carpet for Putin

Obscene thing to say. If you must, say, “I’m sorry but Ukraine is not our problem; we have bigger issues to deal with; Europe should step up”. But to say you’re proud of starving a country of help in the face of lethal aggression? Just don’t understand this man’s morality.

Starting 4-0 is great as it gives us a better chance of staying close to the top four rather than trying to chase it all season. We need to re-establish our structure and hope Libba, English and (potentially) Richards aren't out for long. We also get Weightman back soon. 🔴⚪🔵

I never thought I’d see a U.S. president and vice president actively back a European leader caught collaborating with the Kremlin at the expense of Europe’s security. That will forever be the legacy of Trump and Vance in Europe. We will not forget.

Trump pulled the U.S. back. Ukraine didn't fall. Someone forgot to tell him that. Anne Applebaum said it directly: Russia isn't winning, even without American support. Europe, Ukraine, and their allies turned out far stronger than Trump — or Putin — had calculated. But she went further: Trump isn't getting his picture of this war from Kyiv or Brussels. He's getting it from Moscow. And it shows. Ukraine is still standing. The coalition held. The script didn't go the way the Kremlin wrote it.

Too on point not to share, “Aussie reply to Trump rant about NATO not being there for us. Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. "NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your fucking mouth. Credit (borrowed from) Jim Scroggins - original author 📷 unknown”

It even got to the point where the President of the United States (!) openly promised, on social media (!!), to give Hungarian voters money (!!!) if they chose Orban as prime minister. Just think about it for a moment. This is political corruption turned up to the absolute maximum, displayed with a level of brazenness and shamelessness the world has never seen before.
