Been thinking about this for a while. What if you created a stablecoin that was pegged to $1 but instead of inefficiently locking up loads of capital, you back it with a second token I know it sounds kinda risky but if it drops below a dollar, people can burn the other token and redeem it for the stablecoin. If it goes above a dollar, they can just sell the stablecoin and redeem it for the other token. I feel like this might work if it captures a flywheel and builds up a sufficient ecosystem to support the daily buying and selling pressure + arbs. What am i missing here?

I think we'll end up seeing a rebound from this out of necessity. Bad software is bad software no matter how fast you created it. And I do think that we'll see reciprocation from users in that nobody likes using buggy shit. It may work so long as there are literally no competitors but the second someone puts out a competing product with higher quality I think we see users/customers jump ship. Honestly this is why i'm so happy I work with smart contracts. For the most part, it is understood that shipping shitty immutable code is a path to financial ruin so the incentive to produce high quality code is still aligned with outcomes.

you know how everything is made out of plastic and feels like crap but still technically works we've been headed this way with software for a while but at least we used to be embarrassed by it now people are proud of how much they don't care

If you could press a button that has a 50/50 chance of doubling your net worth or halving it. How many times would you press it? (put your reasoning in comments pls)

@midjunetroop @Simon_Ingari lmao such an ass take. I've worked remote for the last 5 years. Never had mouse tracking. And it is a requirement I simply won't accept. If you don't trust me to be productive, then maybe you should hire local.

@Simon_Ingari If you quit over mouse tracking, you're not fleeing surveillance - you're just not cut out for remote work. Companies have been measuring productivity since the assembly line.
