@Neolectron @LiiorC C’est le tooling qui va potentiellement être à la ramasse avec des API du compilo qui ne sont pas encore dispo. Aujourd’hui c’est « juste » Tsc qui marche.

@LiiorC c'est okay le passage de 5.9 a 6 il sert juste a virer les deprecated options de tsconfig etc, tu vas pas souffrir tkt.

Builds entre 7 et 12x plus rapides, ça donne envie, mais tu vas bumper la version tu vas te retrouver avec 2 jours de nouveaux trucs à réparer avant que ça compile non ? Je teste demain sur un petit repo

This even more true in OSS. Sure you open a PR for a feature but its maintenance will inevitably fall down to the maintainers. This is want often will prevent your PR to get merged.

I just migrated a 7 million line codebase at @vercel to typescript@7 in a single Claude code session. It took 16 PRs, ~2 days, and ~$1146 in tokens. Incredible, because pre-AI, it would have been at the very bottom of a Platform engineering team's roadmap.

I think Angular is the only mainstream framework to schedule rendering to requestAnimationFrame by default. I’m not sure what to think about it
