I talk a lot about the difference between motivation and discipline with my guys I train. Everyone I train has motivation. But the thing about motivation, there’s a shelf life. After day 4-5 that motivation is gone. But when you have discipline, you’re able to hold your self accountable, to a level motivation doesn’t come close to. For example my morning routine is worship music and prayer in the hot tub and then in the cold tub for a plunge. I never actually want to get in the cold tub. But I have to battle over the weak thoughts with more powerful and positive thoughts. This allows me to stay true to what I said I was going to do and keep a discipline routine. So make a deal with yourself and hold yourself to it. Discipline and motivation are not the same!
