There’s lots of evidence that the universe is billions of years old and that life on this planet has evolved over millennia. I have no issue with belief systems they provide comfort to many in difficult times.

God created man with free will and you're free to believe as you choose, but just because you believe or disbelieve doesn't change the reality of truth. God doesn't send people to Hell, they choose their destination by either accepting Him or rejecting Him. He doesn't want to see anyone go to Hell, but He will not violate their free will to choose their eternal destination. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, not good deeds, religious works, or doctrines of men. Faith in Jesus alone is the only path. Your eternal destination is determined by your choices alone.

I’m getting a lot of hate for this reel. What do you think? (P.S.: if you say “but we have evidence for dads I believe you have missed the point.)

@Phil_Jones01 @afneil Oh dear…truly lacking any depth of knowledge about Sir Olly’s actual responsibility….his only job was to tell ministers yes or no. That he did. Any guard rails required for the appointment were for his office to manage once it had decided Yes or No. He did his job diligently.

No No No. Not oblige in a situation like this. Not at all. Do your job. Do the job you were trained and paid to do. Report the security clearance failure to the people you serve. Thatcher and Churchill would have expected that level of professionalism and woe betide any civil servant that didn’t offer that: one conclusion the civil service needs radical reform and retraining.

@mattwridley Is the truth of this that regardless of everything the government is giving away valuable revenues that could be utilised to reduce borrowing, lower taxes, or otherwise contribute to the economy as we transition into renewables.

It begs the question now; what the satellite companies around the Telfer Hub are going to do? If they wish to monetise their assets in this cycle they should really be picking up the phone. If they don’t - possibly another 40 years in the wilderness with a depreciating asset

@freedombill3 @Dariusaurus You sound trapped by the need to build wealth alone. What is the point of building all that wealth if you don’t then enjoy it? It’s possible to do both is it not? Easy to speculate and generalise with no hard data about the affordability of the lifestyle of those you spoke of.

Walking past a David Lloyd car park on a Saturday afternoon looks like an absolute parade of pure wealth. You see endless rows of brand new Porsche 911s and Range Rovers sitting outside the premium gym and spa. It looks like the ultimate definition of success, but the reality behind the dashboard is completely different. Let us look at the actual numbers keeping that illusion alive. To put a brand new Porsche 911 por Range Rover on your driveway, you are easily handing over £1,200 - £1,500 every single month on a PCP finance deal. Then you are paying another two hundred quid a month just for the premium gym membership so you have somewhere flash to park it. That is nearly £1,700 pounds leaving the current account every single month, to rent an aesthetic. Over a single year, that is a full £20,000 Stocks and Shares ISA allowance completely wiped out. They are literally going broke just to look rich to people they do not even know. If the monthly salary stops, the car gets repossessed and the membership gets cancelled almost instantly. Real wealth is not driving a rented supercar to a premium treadmill. Real wealth is driving a standard car that you own outright, while your cash buys slices of the S&P 500 $VUSA or Vanguard Global $VWRL in the background. Are you funding a car dealership's profit margin? Or are you building freedom? Please don't rent the illusion.

@MartinSLewis Depends. If one was financially struggling for matters outside their control (e.g. couldn't work because of illness), I'd divide unequally. Have the conversation with the one receiving less so they know the reasons why. It's not about favouritism.

I get it. I also get that 200 sq km of tenements so close to Telfer is worth a lot of money with a rising gold price. Some of the just reported grades are better than Telfer’s current plant grades. Rock on. 9,000m is a lot of 2026 drilling. @RPoulden #WSBN @edward_mead

@ShabanaMahmood Here’s an idea, if some one arrives by an illegal route. Move them to another safe country where their entitlement to asylum can be assessed, if approved provide asylum there. Surely a deterrent effect. Oh wait on that’s the first thing this intellectually bankrupt gov scrapped

Our pilot of new incentives to remove failed asylum seeking families will save taxpayers up to £20 million. Here's why 👇 1. It costs 158k to put up a family of 3 in an asylum hotel for 1 year. It costs 48k more to forcibly remove someone. A 10k per person incentive, up to a max of 40k per family, will save money. 2. If someone refuses an incentive, we will move to a forced removal. If you have no right to be in this country, you should not be allowed to stay. 3. There is nothing new about incentive payments. The Tories did it. Even Reform say they will do it. 4. Higher incentives have worked in Denmark. 95% of returns there are voluntary. 5. These incentives are not a pull factor. Asylum claims in Denmark are at a 40-year low. And asylum seekers spend tens of thousands of pounds getting to this country, that's more than any incentive payment. 6. This is a pilot of 150 families. We will see if it works and scale it if it does. That's taking a smart approach, that saves taxpayers' money, to restoring order at our borders. I make no apology for doing that.
